Eden and I made potato curry buns with a mango chutney. I enjoyed cooking this because I felt like it was reflective of how much effort Eden and myself had put into this project. I also liked that cooking was a completely independent part of the project. We made the dough for the curry buns and it turned out really well, which we didn’t expect because neither of us had ever made a bread dough before. Eden’s mom had bought us a whole coconut, and we needed it for our curry, but I had no tools at my house to crack it open. Eden ended up getting is open by hitting it with a pestle. Once we added the mango chutney to the dish, I believe the flavors complimented each other perfectly. I think our dish would be better if it was spicier, so I hope that the mango chutney will add that needed spice. You could definitely taste the star anise and cloves in the dish. Our dish was very creative because we decided to shape our buns into cats and give them names. Overall, I believe our dish is very unique and flavorful, and represents Asian cuisines very well.
